Deep, dark and serene.
The feeling of calm after a storm and of drifting weightless on a gentle tide.

Inspired by a time of transition in my life, as well as literally in the seasons as Spring turned to summer here in South-West Australia. Perth is notoriously windy but as summer begins, the winds start to die down and longer, warmer days are ahead.

The first piece of my β€˜Into Calmer Waters’ collection.
Hand made with natural recycled cotton cord and delicious shades of inky blue merino wool roving. Hangs from a Tasmanian Oak dowel. Finished with a signature bamboo tag.

One of a kind original artwork. Ready to hang.

In the hazy quiet of early morning on the West coast, the local surfers join the lineup, waiting to catch their first wave of the day.
The rising sun paints the sky in pastel tones and shimmers through the cresting waves.
Inspired by my early morning walks to the beach, this piece captures that serene moment, coffee in hand, before the day starts.

Hand made with recycled cotton cord, merino wool roving in mixed blue and sandy tones, and hand painted velvet ribbon.
Hangs from a Tasmanian Oak dowel. Finished with a signature bamboo tag.

One of a kind original artwork. Ready to hang.

Hi, I’m Emmy

I’m originally from the UK but now live in beautiful Western Australia with my Aussie husband.

In my work I use a fusion of macramΓ© and weaving techniques to reflect the landscapes that surround and inspire me here on the southwest coast of Australia.

I am always drawn to the muted blue tones of sea and sky, tactile textures of rock, sand and shells, and the steady rhythms of ocean waves.

Each piece is designed and created by me, slowly and intuitively, to bring a sense of calm to myself and hopefully to you too.

I’m glad you’re here!
